Easy Money

Tonight, on my 5th real day of vacation I had the opportunity to reconnect with some old friends after many years. I was able to have dinner with my old friends Robbie Robinson and Keith Snively tonight while I was in Kansas City. I cannot tell you how good it was to see those guys. I had not seen Rob or Keith for about 13 years. We all worked together at 291 & Gudgell McDonald's in 1988 and we really had something special there. It is not often that you are a part of a team as special as that one was with all three of us and some other really talented people working together. We had a synergy about us that was unmistakeable and it was contagious. It attracted better people and we had a better restaurant because of it. We were ahead of our time for sure; every restaurant company talks about this now but we were doing it then, before it was cool. Certainly the company I work for now does it better than anyone and I'm proud of that fact. My career has always been rooted in People Development and it has served me well. This chapter in my career was no exception and it was a lot of fun.
